Welcome to Justice Karate
The Justice Karate School was chartered in 1975 by the State of Virginia to teach martial arts. We are the oldest karate school in Richmond, Virginia, teaching an international level of karate to both youths and adults. We teach Shotokan forms, Ishimaru Weapons, and the USA-NKF international style of fighting. Our philosophy is to develop the mind, body, and spirit through practice in psychical and mental exercises. We are a member of the USA-NKF, the governing body for Karate, and support the movement to have Karate included as an Olympic Sport. We also offer classes in kickboxing and Iaido, and have an exercise room complete with weights and treadmills for the further training and conditioning.
Our students range in age from 5 and up, and form al walks of life and occupations. We pride ourselves in our international mix of students and count over 20 countries or origin in our student body. We also have students that are family members or co-workers. We believe this diverse mix provides a rich pool of knowledge, skills, support, and enthusiasm for the school and the sport of Karate.
Our students have traveled all over the United States and even to several foreign countries to compete in tournaments. Our school hosts two tournaments each year, one being the State Championships, which qualifies the participants to attend the National Championships in the summer.
Please let us know if you have any questions and we hope you enjoy the training, the exercise, the fun, and the benefits that Karate has to offer you.
Sincerely,
Sam Justice
